Our Mission

Located in the heart of Boise, Idaho, A Reason to Smile combines state-of-the-art technology with sensitivity to patient needs in order to provide you with world-class dental care. Dr. Craig Smith and his staff work hard every day to achieve their goal of helping each patient enjoy the many benefits of a bright, healthy smile.

Continuing Education & Professional Memberships

Dr. Smith has completed several courses of study in Orthodontics, Implants, Prosthetics, and Conscious Sedation. Dr. Smith has also been trained in the art of CEREC® Technology.

In 2016 Dr. Smith became recognized as the first Invisalign® Elite Provider for the entire state of Idaho. This also places him among the top 5% of Invisalign practitioners in North America. To qualify for Elite Provider status, doctors must demonstrate an exceptional level of Invisalign experience and meet Invisalign clinical education requirements. Elite Provider status indicates to our patients and to the community that we are among the most experienced Invisalign practices in the country and reflects the standard of care that our patients can expect from Dr. Smith.

Dr. Smith attends regular continuing education courses which allow him to provide his patients with the latest advancements in dental technology and treatments, including CEREC restorations.

He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of LDS Dentists, Academy of Computerized Dentistry of North America, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Western Society of Periodontology, and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation.

Personal Life & Hobbies

Dr. Smith and his wife, Linda have five wonderful children and eight extraordinary grandchildren. He is actively involved in his church and enjoys outdoor activities, including backpacking, fishing, and camping. His hobbies also include woodworking, running, and riding his bicycle.
