Meet Our Team
Donna - Registered Dental Hygienist. "I started practicing dental hygiene in 1988 in Eugene, Oregon. Following a move back home to Boise, I have been with A Reason to Smile since 1995. I enjoy working with Dr. Smith because I feel we are able to offer a warm and friendly approach to dentistry that is carefully combined with advanced technology. I feel that preventive care and education are extremely important to optimal dental care. I am not only concerned about the beauty of my patient's smile but also about the overall health of my patient. I cherish all the many relationships I have had the privilege to develop with my patients and their families. I live in Eagle with my husband Monte, where we raised our daughter Ariel. I enjoy spending time with family and friends in the many outdoor activities Idaho has to offer. My current obsessions are skiing, paddle boarding and white water rafting."
Brooke - Registered Dental Hygienist. "I have been practicing dental hygiene for 2 1/2 years and absolutely love what i do - mostly because of my wonderful patients! I love helping others and feel so lucky to play a role in the transformation of smiles. I have lived most of my life in Boise. I love this area because of all the outdoor opportunities. Hiking, biking and whitewater rafting are a few of my favorite things to do. I also enjoy playing the piano and traveling all over! I try to always have a trip to look forward to. I believe in working hard and playing even harder. :)"
Tammy - Certified Dental Assistant. Tammy has over 33 years of experience, and has been with our office for over 11 years. She is excellent at making your time in our office comfortable while you receive your dental care. Tammy enjoys fishing, spending time outdoors and playing with her granddaughter. You'll often find her outside reading a book on a sunny day.
Kristina - Certified Dental Assistant. After graduating from the IU School of Dentistry, Kristina has been assisting in our office for 4 years with 9 years total experience in the dental field. "Ever since I was a little girl, I loved going to the dentist so working in dentistry was a natural fit." She loves getting to know patients while making their experience as comfortable as possible. When not at the office you can find her doing something fun outdoors with her husband and dogs. She also loves running, and has run more than 20 half marathons, and counting.
Shayla - Certified Dental Assistant. "I'm new to the dental field but I love learning everything about it. There are so many new experiences plus I have great people helping me learn. Everybody is so fun and upbeat and it really helps me learn and have fun, which is so great. I went to Dental Staff School of Tennessee so things were a little different in school and everyone helps me so much on how things work. I love Boise mostly because my family is here but I also love being outdoors, and there are so many different things you can do and places you can go. I love horseback riding, hiking and boating; most of which I do with my family. I have a pretty big family so we do a lot together. There's never a dull moment."
Jeannie - Receptionist. "I have 20+ years in the dental field. I love being in the dental field because a smile can change your life. When I'm not at work, I am home crafting or playing with my four dogs and my husband. I have raised three kids and now look forward to empty nesting. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with Dr. Smith and his wonderful team!"
Austin - Office Manager. "I have been in the dental field for over 5 years. As the office manager, it is my responsibility to answer any billing questions you have. If you have a question about your account or insurance coverage, please give me a call! I have lived in Boise for as long as I can remember. I am currently attending Boise State University for a Masters in Health Science - my hope is to further my career by getting into the field of hospital administration. When I'm not working or at school, I enjoy spending time outdoors and taking in the Idaho scenery."
